Proposal Process

Impact1890 is not awarding any new grants at this time. Like most of our peers, NLCS, Impact1890’s sponsor organization, has been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to this, we had to make some difficult decisions which includes the decision to halt any further grants at this time. Impact1890 utilizes an online form to collect proposals, review submissions and manage follow-up reports. All proposals must be submitted via the online platform; Impact1890 does not accept proposals submitted in any other manner. 

The types of documents that have been requested in the past have included:

  • Cover letter
  • Proposal narrative
  • Organizational budget
  • Project budget
  • 990 form
  • Previous year’s financial statement
  • Additional sources of funding
  • List of board/council members
  • Key staff members
  • IRS determination letter
